According to the secretary general, the secondary custody bill, which is expected to be voted on in parliament, is no different from the logic that the majority has so far adhered to: “They always have a criterion for how much the“ cost ”is. the number of operating public hospitals is being reduced to “respond” to the cuts in government spending, so combined with the increase in revenue from the sale of their operations, they should be … “sustainable””.

Referring to the policy pursued by the Ministry of Health, Mr. Koutsoubas stated that “in circumstances where the lists of routine clinics and operations, invasive and imaging studies in public institutions today exceed any limit, access to a doctor’s appointment in private practice or in private center will become a forced outlet for thousands of those in need.”

The General Secretary of the Central Committee of the KKE emphasized the importance of the public health system, noting that the private sector was absent during the outbreak of the pandemic. In the next period, the KKE will take action to, as it stated, protect:

• Permanent recruitment of medical workers in the public health system.

• Salary increases.

• Cancellation of payment for medical care.

• Increased funding from the state budget for health care.
