Mitsotakis on Armed Forces Day: Our country is stronger than ever

“We are turning our backs on those who doubt the defense capability of our country,” the prime minister said. Kyriakos Mitsotakis in his message for today’s Armed Forces Day

At the same time, he notes that: “Our country this year welcomes the celebration of its enstols more than ever. With an upgraded defensive shield, her diplomatic network of alliances spread far and wide. The Prime Minister emphasizes that today is a day for the whole of Greece as an opportunity for solidarity and self-confidence.

“In an era of international instability, war in the heart of Europe, and open threats on our borders, Armed Forces Day becomes the Day of the whole of Greece and all Greeks. An opportunity for national unity and self-confidence, but also to pay tribute to the eternal guardians of the independence and progress of the country,” he emphasizes.

“Today we honor those and those who honor the state emblem on land, at sea and in the air, day and night,” the Prime Minister continues in his message.

He then states: “Responding with alacrity to provocation and wariness to every ruse, we turn our backs on the few who question the protective armor of the homeland. And we are firmly following the path indicated by the Great Commander, as well as our tradition.”

He concludes by expressing gratitude to the women and men who serve in ED, as well as to those who sacrificed themselves for the freedom of the country.

“November 21 is a day of universal gratitude to the heroes who gave their lives for the freedom of our country. And at the same time, a meeting place of national unity and national determination. I wish health and strength to women and men who selflessly, courageously and selflessly serve Greece on all fronts. Our the people are proud of them. Happy birthday.”
