
The field is being expanded into offshore areas southwest of Crete and the Peloponnese, where Greece will conduct hydrocarbon exploration.
In cooperation with Malta, as originally planned, an additional NAVTEX was issued, under which more sea area is limited.
An additional NAVTEX has been issued by Malta as it is outside the Greek FIR and increases the area from 27,000 to 31,500 square kilometers.
Greece has asked Malta to issue NAVTEX as we have no demarcation in this area and the NAVTEX issuance restrictions are outside of our FIR. Essentially, Malta recognizes the right of Greece to explore the area.
