
A new platform aimed at the joint communicative action of all Greek embassies and consulates around the worldrecently cooked Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The material will be sent to a digital platform (pool) and will be shared with our diplomatic authorities operating in the respective countries of interest so that it can be reproduced on social media, on the websites of public and private bodies that promote the image. The Public Diplomacy staff is still planning to properly use the material they will receive from the pool, take seminars on the use of social networks and new technologies, while planning all our diplomatic powers – about 130 embassies, consulates, permanent missions, as well as their key employees, ambassadors, consuls, employees of public diplomacy, to promote materials from personal accounts.
At the same time, it is planned to create a mechanism for instant communicative response and exposure of fake news in crisis situations through social networks. This is a “special crisis management team” that will have material ready for immediate playback as well as the ability to create new ones.
Extension of the old model
This particular project was undertaken by the Deputy Minister to “manage” it on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Andreas Katsaniotis, as the above model is a more modern and complex form of the communication strategy and dissemination model that Mr. Katsaniotis implemented during the period 2012-14. as cg at the General Secretariat of Information.
