
Aristotelis Pavlidis, former minister and longtime member of the Dodecanese Parliament, died today at the age of 79. New Republic.
Aristotelis Pavlidis was born in Pyli on the island of Kos and studied at the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of the University of Athens, graduating in 1966. He then settled in London to study business administration at the Polytechnic Institute.
In 1977, he was elected for the first time as a member of the Dodecanese Parliament for the New Republic. In 1977 and 1979 he was elected Secretary of Parliament and in 1982 Dean. In the governments of Tzannetakis and Mitsotakis, he served as Deputy Minister of Finance, and in the period 1990-1992. – Minister of Merchant Shipping.
