
“Despite the statements of the US Ambassador that they are impartial, the US balance is off, they are not balancing and have decided to lift the arms embargo on Greek Cypriots for one year,” he said, referring to the lifting of the arms embargo on Cyprus. as well as recent statements by the American Ambassador in Ankara, who assured that Washington remains impartial regarding the security of the Aegean.
At the same time, Cavusoglu was mentioned. and in a dialogue he says he had with his American colleague Anthony Blinken.
“I said to Blinken, ‘Why did you do that?’ He told me “because they cooperated with us on the issue of black money,” the Turkish foreign minister stressed. He even claimed that he replied to his American colleague: “Well, in exchange for this, you go and give weapons? Because it is a weapon against the Turks. And what we did, we sent reinforcements and we will send more.”
“There are grounds for the Greek issue as well. They answer us and say that “this is relevant for Russia because of the presence of Russia in the Eastern Mediterranean.” But with regard to Greece and the Greek Cypriots, we say the following: it does not matter who stands behind them and who supports them. What matters is who is against them! Turkey matters, not who supports it,” he said.

In fact, the Turkish Foreign Minister pointed the finger at the US regarding its attitude towards Saudi Arabia and OPEC’s decision to cut oil production.
“You may like the decision taken by the OPEC countries, or you may not. It does not matter. However, we see how one country threatens other countries, especially Saudi Arabia. These bullies are wrong. We don’t think the US should put pressure on Saudi Arabia or any other country for that matter.”
Finally, Mevlut Cavusoglu expressed support for Iran and Venezuela, asking for sanctions to be lifted from the former.
“Today the whole world needs Venezuelan gas and oil. Now the embargo in Venezuela has begun to be relaxed. On the other hand, there is an embargo on Iranian oil. Our companies, our refineries cannot buy from Iran. Stop these sanctions! If you want oil prices to fall, end the embargo,” he concluded.
