Defense Ministry spokesman David Helbold referred to the negotiations between the governments of Germany and Greece, answering a question about the reasons why Greece, under the conditions of a circular exchange of tanks with Ukraine, will receive from Germany, as a replacement, BMP-1 tanks, Marder tanks, and not later Leopards.
“I can’t talk about individual criteria. Negotiations were held between the German and Greek sides, and a result was achieved that makes us very happy. I cannot comment here either on individual options that are still being put in place, or on individual deliveries, both from the German side to Greece, and, possibly, from the Greek side to Ukraine,” the representative said and added that when these deliveries take place, there will be an appropriate update.
