Behind closed doors and in conditions of complete secrecy, the majority decided to conduct their work Commission of Inquiry to investigate the breach of confidentiality of communications between the President of PASOK-KINAL and MEP Nikos Androulakis EYP or other individuals or entities, a confirmed attempt to hack his mobile phone with the Predator malware, its illegal use in the territory and an investigation into the liability of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and any other natural or legal entity involved.

The Committee decided that the minutes of the meetings should not be published or distributed. However, members of the parliamentary commission will have access to them in a special room where they will be stored for reasons of confidentiality, issues related to national security and personal data.

The decision was taken by a majority with 16 votes in favor. The minority parties suggested that the meetings should not be broadcast on the parliamentary channel, but that the minutes be released to the public after the bureau or the Commission first decided to remove references to classified national information from publication. It was also decided that the work of the Committee would be held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

The work of the commission will continue tomorrow at 9 am, where the issue of the possibility of witnesses to invoke the confidentiality of data or information requested from them regarding the EMP will be raised. Also at tomorrow’s meeting, the parties will submit their first proposals for the persons they wish to invite for consideration by the Commission.
