
US Special Envoy for Climate Change John Kerry will visit Athens. A US official will visit Athens on August 28-29 to meet with government officials.
According to the State Department, the discussion will focus on efforts to reduce carbon emissions from maritime transport, as well as the dynamics of the international conference “Our Ocean”, which will be hosted by Greece.
John Kerry’s trip will continue to Bali, Indonesia, where he will attend the G20 Ministerial Summit on Climate and Environment.
He will then visit Vietnam to meet with government officials, civil society representatives and business leaders to reach consensus on key actions to overcome the climate crisis and accelerate the transition to a clean energy economy.
