The political leadership and political parties of our country were congratulated on the great success Antigonis Drysbiotiswho went 2 out of 2 at the Pan-European Championships in Munich and took first place in the 20 km walk, a few days after the “gold” in the 35 km run.
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis tweeted a photo of the golden European champion holding the Greek flag and wrote: “At the highest level of European sport, Greece is once again with Antigone Drisbiotis. Second gold medal in a few days, gold forever in our hearts.”

“Her race is an example for all of us,” Alexis Tsipras says of Antigoni Drisbiotis on the occasion that the 38-year-old runner won the double at the European Athletics Championships.
“The second gold went to Antigoni Drysbiotis, and in walking for 20 km. And yet this great athlete was forced to take 8 years off from sports and return with night training. Her struggle is an example for all of us,” wrote the President of SYRIZA PS in a post on his personal Facebook account.
“Second time in a few days on top of Europe,” PASOK-Movement for Change notes in its post about Antigoni Drisbiotis’ new gold.
And he adds: “Warm congratulations to Antigoni Drisbiotis who, after winning the gold medal in the 35 km walk, also won the gold medal in the 20 km run.”

“As important as it is to win a second gold in a major competition in a few 24 hours, it is equally important to highlight the tremendous struggle that this athlete has put in to get here. Performance training and survival work. All with a daily struggle.”
With these warm words, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the KKE Dimitris Koutsoubas congratulates Antigoni Ntrisbiotis, who shows, he adds, “what power a person hides when he has the will and faith to achieve his goals.”
“A few days after winning the gold medal in the 35 km walk, the leading Greek athlete Antigoni Drisbioti also won the gold medal in the 20 km walk, surpassing even herself. In other words, beating her previous best individual result during the match,” Hellenic Solution president Kyriakos Velopoulos said in a statement about the European champion.
“Antigone Drysbioti embodies all the virtues of the Greek soul. But it also shows the struggle that all Greeks must wage in order to reorganize Greece. To fight with all their might to promote the virtues of Rod, against a genocidal state run by unofficials and instead of to serve worthy, to promote true Perfection, submits to the “airy”, counterproductive, non-Hellenistic. This is the same state that deprived our Champion of all help and assistance, “says the president of Hellenic Solution.
His statement ends as follows: “By struggle, perseverance, will and faith, Antigone managed to defeat the whole system that wanted to prevent her, deprive her even of the right to fight! So, warm congratulations to Antigone Drysbiotis, who, in addition to national pride, filled our souls with optimism and enthusiasm, contrary to our national duty.”
“Congratulations to Antigoni Drisbiotis who won gold for the second time in a few days at the European Athletics Championships in Munich!” Michalis Kritaridis, MeRA25 press spokesman, tweeted.
And he adds: “Well done for the personal struggle he put in to achieve all these great feats that we are all proud of.”

“We heartily congratulate Antigoni Drisbiotis on her second gold medal at the European Athletics Championships in Munich, this time in the 20 km walk. Thank you Antigone!” Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias tweeted.
