In 2019, Turkey received the first batch of S-400s. For the second batch, he made it a condition for the transfer of know-how to Moscow and joint production. Military analysts report that, until recently, the Turkish government’s desire was to transfer know-how into the production of S-400 radars, as well as joint production of launchers, with nothing officially announced to date.

Ten representatives of the Turkish Ministry of Defense are in Washington for talks on the modernization of the F-16.

Opposition parties in Turkey accuse the government of spending $2.5 billion to buy a Russian weapon system it has so far avoided activating. Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar stated that the S-400 system “will be used when the need arises”.

Finally, it is noted that the Turkish side expressed a desire to purchase the SAMP-T anti-aircraft complex of the Franco-Italian joint venture and set the condition for joint production. However, to date, no relevant developments on this issue have been received.
