The president of SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance speaks of the “great scandal and unforgivable arrogance of the regime on the part of the prime minister, who thought that no one could control him”, Alexis Tsiprasin his statement on camera, after observation case.

Accusing Kyriakos Mitsotakis of knowingly lying, the official leader of the opposition notes: Mr. Mitsotakis “allegedly did not know, but he himself changed the law so that ADAE would not be allowed to tell anyone that he was being monitored, and this, as soon as he became aware of the first complaint.

“He didn’t know, but he took responsibility for EYP from day one. Did he not even know that he made laws? Who will believe him? emphasizes.

“No hypocritical apologies can erase the trauma he has inflicted on the democratic functioning of the state,” the head of SYRIZA declares and adds: “As for us, we will do our best, today as an opposition, but also tomorrow as a progressive government, to responsibilities were assigned and the democratic reform of the EYP regime took place.”

Noting that the country mostly needs democratic logic and institutional sensibility, Alexis Tsipras concludes: “Why the rule of law in the Hellenic Republic is non-negotiable.”

“The abuse of the rule of law by the Mitsotakis regime, with surveillance of journalists and politicians, is a severe insult to our democracy.

Something that cannot be tolerated.

This is not a big and unforgivable mistake. This is a mega-scandal and unforgivable establishment arrogance on the part of a prime minister who thought no one could control him.

And when it was revealed, both he and his accomplices deliberately lied to cover themselves. And today he continues lie after lie.

Whom he allegedly did not know, but changed the law himself so that ADAE would not be allowed to tell anyone that he was being followed, and that, too, as soon as he became aware of the first complaint.

Instead of apologies and lies, let him at least now tell us the whole truth.
