Commander of the National Intelligence Service, Panagiotis Kontoleonsubmitted his resignation to the Prime Minister “due to wrong actions discovered in the process of legal relations”, as emphasized at a briefing in the government.

The resignation was accepted. The Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Themistoklis Demiris, becomes the new Commander of the EMP. Mr. Demiris will brief the Committee on Institutions and Transparency after the resumption of parliamentary work, it is emphasized.
