Just these days, the automatic interstellar station (SAI 5), launched from the 2nd planet in the Alpha Centauri system, arrived in the Earth’s atmosphere after a journey of three hundred thousand years. Her task: to find intelligent beings on our planet and transmit the results back home. Obviously, the search is carried out on the basis of very complex algorithms of artificial intelligence (thousands of times stronger than human ones). After the search for the earthly mind eliminated the goose, the elephant, the bee and many other species (whose merits were recognized as significant but still insufficient), the decisive choice of SAI 5 settled on two species, man (homo sapiens). ) and the woodpecker (Pica pica), between which you will have to choose. Here is a summary of the SAI 5 report:

About the human species: These very days are elections in the largest country in the world called the Russian Federation (various contextual explanations follow, which I am removing for economy). The Russian president wants to be re-elected for a sixth term, although he has been in power for 24 years and should bow to him. First he killed all his serious opponents (the last one literally two weeks ago by sending him to a camp (explanation about camps). He exiled others (list of names). He also killed many opponents and journalists (list). He banned criticism, despite the fact that his country was in a two-year war of his own making, motivated by the fact that our algorithms couldn’t understand (conflicted quotation marks) S- suffered huge losses in people and economic resources (numbers) He was under international sanctions (numbers) He banned demonstrations against him and his party He even banned some words (explanation) In addition to the name of the president, there are three other names on the ballot that are almost unknown and irrelevant, so his election is certain, and given the public pressure, the turnout will be high, although many Russians hate him. But even more they fear him and tolerate him for fear of being arrested, or poisoned, or falling off the floor, or being hit by a train. We don’t understand (continued SAI 5) why the President wants to spend money on elections and outright not declares himself president for life. It would be very simple and cheap. The TV channel says that organizing elections when there is nothing to choose from is absurd and they do not understand their essence. Even as a joke is not clear. In addition, the international press devotes a lot of space to the elections in Russia, although everyone admits that there are no surprises here. We don’t even understand how much attention the press pays to a certain event. In general, we understand almost nothing of what the human species does. Either our algorithms are not tuned enough, or people are completely stupid.

About the CoČ›ofana species: early spring. The pair (which we watch from the window of a nearby house, where we set up a stealth camera) built a nest in a tall tree for about a week. The place is well chosen, where several branches split off from the trunk, not too thin, so as not to threaten the construction, but not too thick – protected from a small domestic predator, which is called a cat. Located between two houses, the nest is protected from strong winds. The station discovered that it was carefully woven from small, thin twigs attached to the ground to also protect it from the dangers emanating from the hive’s air. The algorithms predict that this will protect the chicks very well. The male and female worked on the nest in close cooperation for more than ten days, and now the nest of twigs is tall and spacious and almost ready to receive the eggs. (We send aerial photos from all positions) The structure, balanced and reliable, proves the good skills of the builder, as well as the excellent ability of cooperation between them. The station has not been able to observe any marital disturbances in the case of the CoČ›ofenest couple, and it cannot be assumed that they may arise in the near future. We also note that no other woodpecker has been observed to attempt either to take the nest from the pair that built it, or to destroy it or throw it to the ground if it cannot have it. He didn’t even fight two. He didn’t even try to stop them from flying in search of materials. (Equivalent actions were observed only in humans.) So everything that the two kotofens did appears to be well-planned, intelligently designed, proving equality of tasks between husband and wife, a balanced division of labor, constructive enthusiasm, and wonderful mutual feelings of respect and esteem. The same can be said about all pairs of dog houses without exception. – Read the rest of the article and comment on Contributors.ro
