Teachers will get nothing from these strikes. And this is for a simple reason: I am not a “special category”.

I underestimated Mr. Marcel Cholaka. The teachers’ strike shows he knows how to play hard. It is obvious that the problems of education are big and serious. But, unfortunately, they were completely ignored – if not openly ridiculed – by the person who will be the “guarantor of social dialogue” in the country: the president. Completely disregarding the reality of education, Mr. Iohannis ordered the introduction of “laws” that were supposed to elevate him to the rank of “legislators” but which did not solve any of the difficulties of the Romanian school. One of the two “laws” – the law on pre-university education – is currently in parliament and is about to be published. It was this moment that Mr. Cholaku chose for the teachers’ strike. Let’s be clear: the president of the PSD is not at all interested in the shortcomings of education and the difficulties that put pressure on teaching. The goal of the strike is not to “give” the teachers something, but to publicly humiliate the president. Mr. Cholaku marks his field and shows – blind and blind – who is the new master?

He cornered the president and the prime minister, from which they have nowhere to retreat, and, holding them tightly on a leash, leaves the education unions to bark and show their fangs at the highest officials of the state. In our country, trade unions, and especially in education, have always been at the disposal of the PSD. Now, for Mr. Çolaku, they are nothing more than tools to intimidate Mr. Johannis and Mr. Chuke. Especially the first one. “(His) educated Romania” has turned into a nightmare: dusted with apathy and a subject of public irony, the president’s “job” is now simply undone by a chorus of street protests by teachers. The head of state is shown not only that he has done nothing for those among whom, according to him, there are, but also that, on the contrary, the situation of teachers is more problematic than at the beginning of his tenure (and the anecdote). under the name “Educated Romania”). Finally, what authority does Mr. Nicolae Chuke have before the teachers, a man who cannot read a sentence, who speaks in gibberish, who hides his doctoral fakery after the judges have paid for “services”, and who benefits from accumulated pensions and salaries, with how could some rural schools be repaired? By putting the president and the head of the PNL against the wall, Mr. Marcel Čolaku clearly shows that after the “rotation” he (already) wants to have presidential powers. In a political scene full of incompetents, imposters and scum, he knows – if not what for – at least as do.

This strike marks not only the fall of “yellow” Ciucă to the insignificance from which it arose, but also the end of Mr. Iohannis’ domestic mandates. Apparently, the president will still be able to travel the world on private jets elite (among other things, because it turns the world upside down) and he will be able to smile at various international meetings, but – in the country – he will not have the right to vote, even in the appointment of the porter in Kotrochen. If until now he did not want to go on television or talk to the press, from now on he will have to ask for permission. And if he wants a “European position” after the mandate, he can get it only as a representative of the SDP. A sad and shameful end for someone who was voted for in 2014 and around whom in the winter of 2017 those who hoped for the best for Romania built a wall!

Once they’ve “worked out their number”, the education unions will be put back on the chain. From 2025, one or another of their leaders will become an “adviser to the president”, a “deputy of the European Parliament”, a “senator”, a “state secretary” in matters of education or energy, agriculture or something else. Mr. Cholaku knows the technique well: you give (something more) a lot to the few, not a little to the many. That is, a few – “from above” (in ministries, inspectorates, rectors, trade unions) – receive real money, but with one condition: to keep the many under control. By the way, this is exactly the same procedure as bribery: you give certain “amounts” to several people, and they give you “beneficial contracts” in return. Here the contract is “social peace”. Once Mr. Cholaku is “on the button” the “negotiations” will proceed “rapidly”: some promises related to PNRR (of which the vision is increasingly hazy), “reimbursements” for installation/relocation/movement – several hundreds ley – for starters, the assurance that “education is a strategic national priority”, the union’s response that “dialogue continues” and… peace and progress! Food prices, summer drought, geopolitical crises, and “neo-Marxists” who want to destroy us are coming at us. And, above all, an election year. Only then will the alms be weighed, broken and distributed. For everyone, but according to “priorities”.

Teachers will get nothing from these strikes. And this is for a simple reason: I am not a “special category”. They are not like judges, parliamentarians, mayors, military personnel, etc., people for whom there is a salary that is different from the salary of other state employees.
