The Ministry of Health (MOH) says it has published a list of vaccination centers where the new COVID-19 vaccine is administered, adapted to provide broader protection against the original strain and Omicron BA.4 and BA.5 subvariants. The vaccine is intended for people over 12 years of age who have been vaccinated according to the primary anti-COVID scheme at least three months ago.

The new vaccine is adapted for the strains of the virus that are currently circulating.

“The list of vaccination centers where the new vaccine against COVID-19 (COMIRNATY ORIGINAL / OMICRON BA.4-5-Pfizer BioNTech) is administered has been published. The vaccine has been adapted to provide broader protection against the original strain and against the Omicron BA.4 and BA.5 subvariants. It can be used to vaccinate all persons over the age of 12 who received the primary vaccination against COVID-19 at least 3 months before,” explained the Ministry of Health.

According to the cited source, the vaccine provides protection against complications and serious forms of the disease.

The new vaccine against COVID-19 can be obtained from vaccination centers and, on request, from family doctors.

Compared to the campaign at the beginning of the pandemic, there are now no more priority categories, and vaccination works on a first-come, first-served basis.

At the same time, the ministry emphasizes that the only contraindication to vaccination is “allergy to the active substance or any other ingredient of the vaccine.”
