In the last day, 444 new cases of COVID-19 were registered, which is half of the figure of the previous day. At the same time, according to data released on Sunday by the Ministry of Health, 4 deaths were recorded.

83 of the new cases in the last 24 hours were re-infected patients who tested positive more than 90 days after the initial infection. In contrast to new confirmed cases, 22 people were confirmed positive after retesting patients who had already tested positive.

Bucharest reported 117 new cases and counties with fewer than 100 cases each, while Gorge and Giurgiu reported no cases.

1,343 patients with COVID-19 were hospitalized in hospitals, which is 32 more than the previous day. Also, 121 people were hospitalized in ATZ, which is 7 less than the previous day. Of the 121 patients admitted to the ICU, 109 were unvaccinated.

Of the total number of hospitalized, 93 were minors, all of them were hospitalized in wards, 3 fewer than the previous day, and 0 in the intensive care unit, as in the previous day.

Over the last day, 1,503 OT-PCR tests were conducted (743 according to the case definition and medical protocol and 760 according to the request) and 4,769 rapid antigen tests. To date, 13,512,192 RT-PCR tests and 11,614,389 rapid antigen tests have been processed at the national level.
