83 of the new cases in the last 24 hours were re-infected patients who tested positive more than 90 days after the initial infection. In contrast to new confirmed cases, 22 people were confirmed positive after retesting patients who had already tested positive.

Bucharest reported 117 new cases and counties with fewer than 100 cases each, while Gorge and Giurgiu reported no cases.

Over the last day, 1,503 OT-PCR tests were conducted (743 according to the case definition and medical protocol and 760 according to the request) and 4,769 rapid antigen tests. To date, 13,512,192 RT-PCR tests and 11,614,389 rapid antigen tests have been processed at the national level.
