According to the cited source, the 471 new cases registered in the last 24 hours are among re-infected patients who tested positive more than 90 days after the first illness.

The most new cases of COVID in Bucharest – 362 and in the counties of Cluj – 157, Timișoara – 157 and Iași – 128.

The highest incidence is in the county of Cluj – 4.93, followed by Timișoara – 4.19, Bucharest – 4.15 and Sibiu – 3.98.

247 patients are being treated at ATIof which 200 are unvaccinated against COVID-19.

Out of the total number of hospitalized, 330 are minors, 327 are hospitalized in wards, which is 15 less than the previous day, and 3 in the emergency room, 1 more than the previous day.

They were reported in the last 24 hours 19 deaths among patients with COVID (12 men and 7 women).

Of the 19 deceased, one was in the age category 0 – 9 years, one – in the age category 40 – 49 years, one – in the age category 50 – 59 years, five – in the age category 60 – 69 years, three – in the age category 70 – 79 years and eight in the age category over 80 years.

According to the Ministry of Health, among the deceased patients, 18 had concomitant diseases and 14 were unvaccinated.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 66,631 people diagnosed with COVID-19 have died in Romania.
