Actor Jamie Foxx was rushed to hospital two days ago due to a “medical complication” while filming his latest film, his family said in a statement released on Thursday, The Guardian and News.ro reported.

“We would like to inform you that my father, Jamie Foxx, suffered complications yesterday. Fortunately, thanks to quick actions and special care, he is already on the mend,” his daughter Corinne Fox wrote on Instagram.

“We know how much he is loved and we thank you for your prayers. The family asks that you respect his privacy at this difficult time,” she added.

Jamie Foxx is currently starring in an action comedy Back in actionproduced by Netflix, which marks the return of actress Cameron Diaz in front of the cameras after almost a decade.

However, most of the filming is believed to have taken place in the UK, with the production team only moving to the US last month for the final installment. According to Variety, the film has already been completed and is in post-production.
