Shakira decided to move to Miami with her two children after she split from Gerard Pique last year, a decision that did not sit well with the former Catalans defender. Even if the Colombian singer declared that the move was taking place against the background of the fact that his father was sick and wanted to be with him, Shakira would have received an ultimatum from the father of his former life partner.

“I settled in Barcelona to give my children the stability that we are now looking for in another corner of the world, close to family, friends and the sea,” the singer wrote when she announced her move to Miami.

The last phone conversation between Pique and Shakira was found in a television show, in which the Catalan was extremely upset by the artist’s decision, news.ro notes.

However, daily Sport claims that Shakira’s decision was motivated by the fact that her father is sick and she wants to be with him, but she also stated that she received a letter from Pique’s father, in which he relays that “he has two weeks at his disposal to leave the family.”

The artist did not like this last call at all, as she expected a conversation without problems: “She is upset because the last conversation was not as friendly as she expected,” writes Sport.

According to the agreement between Shakira and Pique, the former Catalan defender will be able to visit his children in Miami for ten days every month.

Shakira (46 years old) and Pique (36 years old) have been together since 2010. Sasha is 11 years old, and Milan is 9 years old.
