Actress Reese Witherspoon, known for the film “Legally Blonde”, and her husband, producer Jim Toth, announced their divorce after 12 years of marriage.

“We have some personal news to share… With great care and consideration, I have made the difficult decision to part ways.

We have had so many wonderful years together and move forward with deep love, kindness and mutual respect for all that we have created together.

Our highest priority is our son and our entire family as we move into the next chapter.

These matters are never easy and extremely personal. We really appreciate everyone’s respect for our family’s privacy at this time,” said a message posted on Instagram by Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth, according to News.ro.

The news of the split comes just two days after the couple celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary.

The 47-year-old actress and the 51-year-old producer have a son, Tennessee James, who is 10 years old.

Witherspoon has two other children, Ava, 23, and Deacon, 19, with her ex-husband, actor Ryan Phillippe.

Philip and Witherspoon divorced in 2008.
