A twist in the Alec Baldwin case

The first hearings on the sensational trial of the actor will take place on Friday Alec Baldwin for a tragic incident that happened on her set Film “Rust” and resulted in the death of a member of the production, but the charges facing the famous actor will be different.

Alec Baldwin has been cleared of gun possession charges by New Mexico prosecutors, and as a result, the actor faces a reduced prison sentence. Lawyers for the actor argued for days that Baldwin’s allegations were based on a misinterpretation of New Mexico’s gun ownership law months after the tragic incident in October 2021.

During the filming of the scene, the gun the actor was holding went off and killed the film’s chief cinematographer, Galina Hutchins.

According to the New York Times, if the actor were tried under the new law, he would face a minimum of five years in prison, and now he faces a charge of manslaughter and a maximum of 18 months in prison.

The same will be true for Hannah Gutierrez-Reid, who was in charge of checking the weapons and bullets that would be used on set.
