According to AFP, 20-year-old James Howard Jackson admitted to being part of the group that shot and killed Ryan Fisher while he was walking the singer’s three French bulldogs in Hollywood in February 2021.

“The plea agreement holds James Howard Jackson accountable for his violent and heartless act and brings justice to our victims,” the district attorney said in a statement.

Surveillance images show two men getting out of a car near the singer’s employee before shooting him in the chest.

The men then abducted the two dogs, Kodzy and Gustav, fled and left Ryan Fisher on the ground, bleeding. A third dog, Miss Asia, ran off but later returned to cuddle up to her walker.

Ryan Fisher said on Instagram that he suffered lung damage during the attack.

Lady Gaga, known for the songs “Just Dance” or “Bad Romance”, offered a reward of 500,000 dollars for the recovery of her precious pets.

The woman returned them, claiming to have found them tied to a pole before they were arrested. According to police, she was in a relationship with the father of one of the attackers and was responsible for receiving the reward on their behalf.

James Howard Jackson was released on April 6 after an administrative error, then rearrested four months later.

The sentence followed the sentencing of his accomplices, Jaylin Keyshawn White, 20, who was sentenced to four years in prison, and Sean Whaley, 28, of Lafayette, who was sentenced to six years in prison.
