In a relatively recent interview with the Associated Press, the 90-year-old composer hinted that Indiana Jones 5 could be the last film he scores for.
“I am currently working on Indiana Jones 5, which Harrison Ford, who is a little younger than me, has announced will be his last film. So I thought, if Harrison can do it, then maybe I can.”
The 90-year-old Williams also talked about the six-month commitment often required for such big-budget, high-performing films. In particular, he stated: “At this stage of my life, this is a long commitment for me.” However, he emphasized that he was not going to close the door on music. “I don’t want people to think I’m giving up on any activity.”
According to The Guardian website, the composer said on the Classic FM radio show that he wants to write music for the new James Bond movie as well. “I would love to,” he said.
