However, for collectors or enthusiasts, there is also the option of purchasing works of art signed by famous artists. For example, limited editions, such as those from the last January auction organized by the auction house A10 by Artmark, can be purchased at affordable prices for only a few hundred euros. In recent years, the growth of the Romanian art market has offered collectors interested in diversifying their collection investments and lovers of European culture access to increasingly large collections that bring together objects of international circulation.

One of the largest collections of autographed lithographs by Salvador Dali will be auctioned at the end of January at the A10 Artmark auction house. At least 34 works illustrating the most important themes of the Spanish artist, rare occurrences on the Romanian art market, are being sold at auction with a starting price of 250 to 400 euros. The most valuable work is “Court of the Lion”, the starting price of which is 400 euros. The chromolithograph is part of the “Le Bestiaire de la Fontaine” series. For a starting price of only 250 euros, you can buy the work “Gala”, which depicts the artist’s wife and the woman who inspired and supported the great artist Salvador Dali throughout his life.

Together with Dalí, the Catalan master Pablo Picasso is present at the “Surrealist universe – auction of a small collection of European and American graphics” with 13 graphic works. Among the most outstanding are the lithographs “Amor”, “Model”, “Ganymede” or “Flutist and a young woman with a tambourine”, the starting prices of which are only 300 euros and are part of the “Vollar” suite. European artists were joined by overseas artists – Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat or Roy Lichtenstein. Pop art icon Andy Warhol created 23 different works featuring Marilyn Monroe – a tribute to the actress but also questioning the nature of celebrity, from the gold Marilyn, a single screen print of the image on a gold background, to the Marilyn diptych, 200 repetitions. the same portrait on three and a half meters of canvas. “Marilyn” at the auction on January 31 has a starting price of only 250 euros and is part of a limited edition of 100 pieces. Instead of painting them, he used the silk-screen process, a sophisticated screen printing technique that allowed him to create a series of similar images with slight interstitial iridescence and the impression of three-dimensionality.
