Best selling models

  • Sandero: 229,500 units (+1.2% compared to 2021), the best-selling car in Europe among private customers since 2017.
  • Duster: 197,100 units (+5.8% compared to 2021), the second best-selling car in Europe among individuals in 2022 and the best-selling SUV in the same customer category as of 2018.
  • Jogger (first year on sale): 56,800 units, the second best-selling C-segment car (excluding SUVs) in Europe.
  • Spring: 48,900 units, (+75% vs. 2021), third place in Europe in the ranking of the best-selling electric cars for individuals.

The largest foreign markets

In France, Dacia’s biggest market, 130,800 vehicles were registered in 2022, a 4.5% increase compared to the level recorded in 2021, in a market that fell by 7.8%. These figures are expressed in an increase in market share of one percentage point, which reached 8.6%, which for the first time placed Dacia in third place in the ranking of the best-selling brands in the French passenger car market. In the segment of sales to individuals, Dacia achieved a market share of 15.8% (+1.3 percentage points compared to 2021), which means that every 6 private customers in France chose a Dacia car in 2022.

In Germany, a market dominated by the C-segment offering, Dacia recorded a 50% increase in sales in 2022 compared to the previous year, reaching 60,300 vehicles. For the first time, the brand’s market share exceeded 2% in the VP segment and 5% in the VP segment sold to individuals.

Dacia also registered strong growth in Italy with sales of 67,300 units (+9.2% compared to 2021), in a market that contracted by 9.7%. The market share in the VP segment reached 5.1%, which is 0.9 percentage points higher than the level recorded in 2021.

In the ranking of sales to individuals, Dacia took 4th place, rising one position compared to the previous year, with a market share of 8.3% (+ 2 percentage points compared to 2021).

In Spain, Dacia sold 37,800 cars, +2.7% more than in 2021, in a market that fell by 5.3%. The market share in the VP segment is 4.7% (+0.4 pp to the level of 2021). In the ranking of sales to individuals, Dacia remains in 4th place with a market share of 8.1% (+0.6 pp compared to 2021).

In the UK, Dacia sales are up 55% compared to 2021 levels, with the market down 2%. In the segment of sales to individuals, the brand’s market share increased from 2% in 2021 to 3.1%.
