“For all Romanians who receive income from these social networks, the mechanism is very clear, we have instructions, you can see them on the ANAF website, what almost all those who receive income from social networks must do in May, when a single declaration is submitted, they must submit a single declaration for natural persons, if they are natural persons, declare their income and pay tax on the income received,” the head of ANAF said, according to News.ro.

Lucian Geiusz stated that this is “a very simple and normal thing”.

“Just as a laborer or a miner who works in the Hunedoara mine has tax withheld from his salary every month, I call him a fraudster who receives money from social networks, he must declare and pay tax. If he doesn’t do it, we have to catch him and impose the appropriate fines on him,” Lucian Heyush also stated.

The head of ANAF also said that “many of those whom many people see and follow these networks are people who willingly pay these taxes and fees, but there are others who do not want to do so, and many of them have taken millions of lei . last year.” “There are millions of lei that we took as tax, many millions of lei,” said Heyush.
