Alibaba Chairman Michael Evans said Alibaba will build a logistics center near Istanbul International Airport and a data center near the capital Ankara. In general, the investment will exceed one billion euros.

Turkey will become Alibaba’s base for expanding operations in Europe and the Middle East.

Alibaba also owns 85% of Turkey’s largest e-commerce company Trendyol, which is valued at more than $10 billion.

The Albaba group was founded by Jack Ma, a well-known billionaire who has fallen out of favor with Beijing and is said to be hiding in various locations around the world.
