Volkswagen unveiled its most autonomous electric model, the ID 7, at the CES technology show in Las Vegas, which will also have variants that can run up to 700 km on a single charge. The car will have several body and battery options.
The ID 7 will go on sale from the end of 2023 and is slightly longer than the VW Passat model, as well as the electric Tesla Model 3, at 4.94 meters long.
The ID 7 is built on the MEB modular platform and will be assembled at the German plant in Emden, where the ID 4 is also currently produced.
There will be a 15-inch central display, and one of the novelties is the presence of air vents with digital control. If the driver has cold hands, he can give a voice command to send warm air to the steering wheel to warm his hands.
Initially, the car will be offered with a 77 kWh battery, but a more powerful version will appear later, in which the promised autonomy will be about 700 km, which is one of the largest in the segment.
Since CES Las Vegas is an exhibition of technology and color, Volkswagen decided to camouflage the car under 40 layers of special paint.
