The suspension of state work and compensation of 50 money in the cost of fuel are two measures that will expire at the end of this year, in the absence of other decisions of the executive power. Government spokesman Dan Karbunaru, who contacted HotNews.ro on Wednesday, clarified what has been decided so far at the Victoria Palace regarding these measures.

• “The measure of state suspension from work ends at the end of the year. The decision regarding the fuel cost compensation measure is at the stage of analysis and will be notified.” This was stated on Wednesday for HotNews.ro by the spokesman of the government, Dan Karbunaru.

June 16, 2022By an extraordinary resolution, the government approved the suspension from July 1 to December 31, 2022 of employment by competition or examination of vacant or temporarily vacant positions in central and local state institutions and authorities, with the exception of unique positions.

September 29, 2022In addition, the Government, by an extraordinary resolution, decided to extend the compensation of 50 monies per liter of gasoline and diesel until the end of this year.

The measure entered into force first July 1for a period of 3 months, later extended until the end of this year.

The price of standard diesel is below 8 lei. Gasoline is about 6 lei

On December 20, the average price of a liter of standard diesel fuel was 7.23 lei according to Peco-online.ro, while the average price of a liter of standard gasoline was 6.09 lei.

• “In the case of a standard dieselthe average price of a liter decreased by 14.2%, which means that a full tank (50 liters) today (Tuesday, December 20 – no) costs 60.0 lei less than 30 days ago.
• In the case of standard gasoline, the average price of a liter decreased by 15.3%, which means that a full tank (50 liters) today costs 55.0 lei cheaper than 30 days ago.” writes Peco-Online.ro.

It remains to be seen what decision the executive will make next week, when there will be at least one more Cabinet meeting before the end of this year.
