Dacia announces the release of its first model with a hybrid power plant. Orders for the Jogger HYBRID 140 version will open in January 2023, with first deliveries expected in March next year.
The company does NOT disclose the price of the version.
Produced in Romania at the Mioveni plant, the Jogger is the first Dacia model equipped with hybrid technology, contributing to the electrification of the range.
With the release of this version, a new shade “Grey Schiste” is added to the already available color palette.
The transmission consists of a 4-cylinder gasoline engine with a capacity of 90 hp. 1.6 L, two electric motors (a 50 hp motor and a high-voltage starter/alternator) and an electrified automatic transmission with 4 stages designed for the thermoblock and two others for the electric one. This combined technology is possible due to the lack of clutch.
Regenerative braking, the high energy recovery capacity of the 1.2 kWh (230 V) batteries, to which is added the efficiency of the automatic transmission, offers:
⦁ Ability to run around the city in 100% electric mode up to 80% of the time.
⦁ Consumption reduction of up to 40% (compared to an equivalent heat engine in the urban cycle, without changing the driving style).
100% electric traction at the time of start and automatic transmission provide the Jogger model with a high level of comfort in use. The battery is charged while driving during the braking and deceleration phases. The autonomy of the Jogger HYBRID 140 version is more than 900 km (in a mixed cycle approved by WLTP). The traction battery has a warranty of 8 years or 160,000 km.
In “B” (“Brake”) mode, the automatic transmission equipped with the Jogger HYBRID 140 allows you to increase regenerative braking and increase the efficiency of engine braking. This mode provides a higher level of energy recovery and greater driving comfort in city traffic.
The special dashboard display of the HYBRID 140 version integrates a series of important information such as the traction battery charge level, range or energy transfer. For added comfort, the Jogger HYBRID 140 comes standard with an electric parking brake and a tall center console with enclosed storage and an armrest.
Almost a year after its commercial launch, in March 2022, the Dacia Jogger registered 83,000 orders and more than 51,000 registrations worldwide.
Of the total sales, 2/3 are accounted for by the mixed engine running on gasoline and liquefied gas (ECO-G 100), and 2/3 of sales are accounted for by the most equipped version of the range. At the same time, 55% of Jogger customers chose the 7-seat version.
