The DACHSER agency in Brasov focuses on serving clients from the center and north-east of Romania. The new transit terminal has an area of more than 1,560 m2, has seven loading ramps, a drive-in ramp, hydraulic ramps and loading platforms. The administrative part of the building offers about 500 m2 for modern offices. Also available are about 40 parking spaces, a social area for logistics operators and a space designed for meetings and presentations.

The new branch with regular daily connections is integrated into the DACHSER road network in Europe. Daily connections to Bucharest and Arad will consolidate the network in Romania. In addition, there are daily shuttles to the Eurohub in Bratislava.

“The new location will allow us to deliver comfortably and efficiently. Expanded transshipment capacities will help to decisively strengthen our position in the domestic market, determining an increase in the ability to manage volumes of export and import transit, ensuring effective consolidation in the group system of freight transport.– says Andrea Vladescu, general manager of the DACHSER branch in Brasov.

The optimization of internal processes will be reflected in the reduction of operational costs, which will create an advantage for customers in terms of shipping rates and transit times to and from the EU and even to non-EU countries.

“Another advantage of the new warehouse is the location, which meets our high requirements for urban logistics, such as fast and efficient collections and deliveries to all areas of the city,” says Traian Dumitrescu, managing director of European Logistics. Romania. He also adds that “we have completed the difficult phase of moving the branch and staff and are now taking full advantage of the new headquarters. Modern and spacious logistics facilities will allow us to offer even better quality of service and a sufficient number of loading bays to optimize and speed up processing during loading and unloading.”

This relocation is expected to create new jobs in the medium term. At the same time, it contributes to DACHSER’s environmental goals through the technologies used to conserve resources, which include, among others, LED lighting, heat recovery, drinking water treatment equipment and others. The building and the entire industrial park are also being built with future technologies in mind.
