More than one million electric cars have been sold in Europe, and the share of all-electric cars in an increasing number of companies has reached record levels, according to JATO data. Volkswagen, Stellantis and BMW groups had the largest sales of electric vehicles. They also had electric models from Polestar, Volvo and Mini.

In Europe, on average, about 100,000 electric cars are sold per month, most of which are produced by the Volkswagen Group. The ID 4 and ID 3 models were the most popular in October, followed by the Fiat 500 e and Peugeot e 208. Electric models Renault Megane e-Tech and Skoda Enyaq also performed well. Dacia Spring is no longer in the top 10.

The share of electric vehicles in the total volume of sales is 13% in Volkswagen Group, 12% in Stellantis, 18% in BMW Group and 13% in Renault Group. The dates are for October.

The Chinese from Geely mostly sold electric cars (35% of the brand’s total sales in October), at SAIC this share is 44%, at other Chinese brands – 19%. Last month, more than 15,000 cars of Chinese brands were sold in Europe.

The best-selling car model in October was the Peugeot 208 with more than 17,000 units, a threshold also surpassed by the Volkswagen Golf. Three had a Dacia Sandero. Two Toyota models (Yaris and Yaris Cross) entered the top ten.
