Uniqa Group, the insurer that left the RCA market last year, announced on Wednesday revenues of almost €83m and a net profit of €5.5m for the first nine months, up from the same period last year.

The two companies of the group, Uniqa Asigurări and Uniqa Asigurări de vieja, recorded a total of almost €83 million in IFRS gross premiums in the first 9 months of 2022, which is 6% more than in the same period of 2021. .

The combined net profit of the two UNIQA companies at the end of September 2022 according to IFRS is EUR 5.5 million, which is 45% more than in the same period last year.

Non-auto insurance registered growth of 29% compared to the results reported by Uniqa at the end of the third quarter of 2021, with gross premiums in this segment reaching €36.7 million, according to IFRS, supported mainly by financial protection solutions for companies, fire insurance (+24%) and liability insurance (+52%), which significantly influenced the company’s results for the first 9 months of 2022.

In the segment of retail customers, home and goods insurance recorded an 18% advance in sales volume for January-September of the current year compared to the same period of 2021, also making a corresponding contribution to the development of activities in the non-automotive portfolio.

For Uniqa Life Insurance, in the first 9 months of 2022, sales increased by 26% compared to the same period in 2021. The company recorded gross life insurance premiums of 23 million euros, according to the data. IFRS, which mainly included underwriting in the life insurance segments intended for credit products and traditional life insurance.

As for complaints, the total number of appeals for 9 months of this year was 158, the same as for the same period last year. Of these, 144 are individual appeals and 14 are related.
