The Treasury for November 2022 starts on Tuesday, so interested Romanians can sign up through SPV, Romanian Post or directly at the Treasury. There are two issues, one for 1 year with an interest rate of 8.7%, the other for 2 years with 9.15%/year.
At the end of next year, the BNR predicts inflation of 7.5%. Obviously, this is just an estimate. Let’s not forget that in recent years the Central Bank has not even come close to the forecasts. Even the governor of the BNR, Mugur Iserescu, suffered real losses from investments in other types of government bonds: Fidelis.
If we look at Finzoom.ro bank data, the best offers have interest rates between 7.75 and 9%, but let’s not forget that there are commissions and income tax is paid.
Returning to the Tezaur securities issued by the Ministry of Finance, the securities have a face value of 1 lei and are in dematerialized form.
Government bonds can be bought:

Operations that can be carried out online are: opening a subscription account in the name of the investor in the selected body of the State Treasury, subscription to TEZAUR state securities, transfer of amounts from the investor’s subscription account to a bank account in the name of the investor.
