“The explosion on Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 has nothing to do with gas imports to Romania,” said Ion Sterian, CEO of SNTGN Transgaz SA, during the “Energy Reserves for Winter and Energy Independence Resources” conference.

“We at Transgaz have taken all necessary measures to ensure the safety of the national transport system,” said Sterian.

According to him, the company is completing maintenance, and from this November 1, Transgaz will complete all repair work, and no more breaks will be needed to carry out certain repair work during the winter.

“Yesterday we imported about 5 million cubic meters of gas, today 6.2 million cubic meters of gas have been nominated, of which 4.1 million are for transit through Romania. But what is important is what I kept. Yesterday, 12.3 million cubic meters of gas were laid, today, until tomorrow morning, about 11 million cubic meters of gas,” Sterian said during the conference.

Compared to the same date last year, Romania has 375 million cubic meters more gas.

“Practically, today we have 2.6 billion cubic meters of gas, this is enough to survive the winter compared to previous years,” Ion Sterian also specified.
