Thanks to the procedure introduced by the adopted regulatory act, employees or former employees will be able to obtain online access to their data from REGES related to activities performed at different employers on the basis of an individual employment contract.

Their right of access is limited to viewing, downloading and printing this data, as well as creating and downloading an extract from the register, with which they can confirm periods of work, respectively seniority and specialty, together with other documents in the personal file. to each

According to the Ministry, other measures provided for by the Government’s decision relate to:

  • establishing the terms of access to the register data by obtaining a login and password in person at the territorial labor inspection body or by e-mail in the presence of a qualified electronic signature;
  • supplementing the general record of employees with new elements related to the level and specialty of the completed education;
  • regulation of the conditions under which seniority and/or specialty can be confirmed by an extract, respectively, by the employer’s enrollment and signature certification on the basis of confirming documents from the employee’s personal file, accounting documents and other documents in the company’s archive.

These rules will enter into force on 31 December 2024, when the relevant REGES IT system will also become operational in accordance with the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.

Until the date when the computer system is operational and facilitates access by employees and ex-employees to their data in the register, territorial labor inspectorates are obliged to give them, upon written request, an extract reflecting the activities carried out under an individual labor contract (the project had a deadline of 15 days, but we are waiting for the official Monitor).

Digitization of the Labor Inspectorate, the ministry notes, is aimed at creating a flexible IT system by simplifying access procedures and using an electronic signature, which will facilitate the control activities of the institution and ensure an increase in the efficiency of the Labor Inspectorate. control act.

The new REGES-ONLINE computer system will provide access to state authorities and institutions to data registration in the application programming interface (API). At the same time, a centralized system, fully online, will be available for employers and employees, the latter will be able to obtain information about their own employment contract, check the information uploaded by the employer and report any errors.
