ANAF’s joint action with ITM (Operation Cronos) will expand to the whole country in the coming months, said Lucian Heyus, president of Fiscal, noting that so far actions have been carried out in Bucharest and Ilfov.

According to him, 300 companies have been selected at the national level and will be checked in the coming months.

“I sound the alarm: those who practice this system must abandon it, understand that it is fair, so that the people who work for you are hired with the appropriate documents, so that they receive a fair payment for their work, which they fulfill, and their obligations to the state budget,” Geyus said.

As part of the campaign, Cronos also started checking couriers who deliver food, finding that 4.8 million hours of work had not been declared.

In April, ANAF announced that in 5 years, the security company’s agents had worked the equivalent of 106 years without overtime.

Operation Cronos concerns the inspections of economic operators that pose a high fiscal risk and use undeclared/undeclared work.
