BCR introduces the functionality of withdrawing cash in euros from ATMs. Withdrawals will be available from September at approximately 100 ATMs across the country, and by the end of the year, more than 300 machines in the BCR network will offer this option.
The ability to withdraw cash in euros is available to BCR debit card holders, individuals, at the bank’s ATMs located both in Bucharest and in other major cities. Currency exchange will be carried out at the rate of the National Bank of Romania, to which a standard 2% currency conversion fee will be added. The commission amount will be displayed on the screen of the terminal used until the transaction is completed.
BCR customers with lei debit cards will not be charged a cash withdrawal fee, only a standard currency conversion fee.
BCR ATMs, where you can make cash withdrawals in euros, only offer the ability to withdraw amounts in multiples of 50. A full list of all equipment that can be used for these banking operations is available on the website BCR website.
