​In July, 90,000 fully electric cars were registered in Europe, representing 10% of the total new car market. In Norway, electricity occupied almost 70% of the market, and in Slovakia only 1.6%. According to JATO data, Romania was close to the European average, and the Dacia Spring was the eighth best-selling electric car in Europe.

In July, 8.9% of new cars registered in Romania were electric, while in July 2021 this share was only 2%. The share of electricity was 2.3% in Poland, 15% in Austria, 4.1% in Hungary and 2.3% in the Czech Republic.

The best in Europe is Norway, where electricity occupies 68.9% of the new car market. In Sweden – 26.2%, in the Netherlands – 22.7%. The numbers are also valid for July. Denmark also performs very well, with a share of 19%, the JATO report also shows.

In two countries, the electricity industry has only slightly penetrated: Slovakia and Greece with a share of less than 2%.

What electric cars were bought in July in Europe? Three models overcame 4,000 units each: Fiat 500, Volkswagen ID4 and Skoda Enyaq, the top five is completed by Volkswagen ID3 and Renault Megane E-Tech. Peugeot e208, Hyundai Kona electric, Dacia Spring, Cupra Born and Hyundai IONIQ5 took 6-10 places.

In the ranking of all car models, including diesel and gasoline ones, the first place is occupied by the Volkswagen T-Roc SUV, almost 19 thousand cars, and the second place is Dacia Sandero and 5 Dacia Duster. Peugeot 2018 is in third place, Toyota Yaris is in fourth place.
