On highway 600, 170 km from Tekuchi to Iasi, the fastest trains go in 2 hours 25 minutes, and those that stop everywhere even in 4 hours 13 minutes.
Compared to other motorways, the average speed on the M600 has not decreased since the 1980s or 1990s.

The national railway company “CFR” SA announces that the Iași Regional Railway Branch has opened the proposals submitted for the public tender procedure for “Quick Wins Type Projects – Speed Limit Removal Works to Restore the Technical Parameters of the Track Superstructure”. , on line 600 Tekuchi – Iasi (wire II).
During the procedure, a single business entity – SC NESS PROIECT EUROPE SRL – submitted a proposal for Quick Wins type works, on the length of 42 km CF, in the section of Tutova – Munteni stations, km 286+163 – 328+000. (wire II) connected to line 600 Tekuchi – Iasi
The estimated total cost of the works is 167,456,708.77 RON excluding VAT.
As part of the project, works will be carried out to replace the components of the upper structure of the track and create a track without joints.
