A more complete range of engines

These completely redesigned Volkswagens eHybrid engines combine the 116 hp (85 kW) electric motor with a 150 or 177 hp 1.5-liter TSI turbocharged gasoline engine to develop a combined output 204 horsepower (350 Nm of torque) and 272 horsepower (400 Nm of torque).
Thanks to a battery with a useful capacity of 19.7 kWh, the new Volkswagen Passat eHybrid demonstrates 100% electric range of more than 120 km. This battery can be charged from a household outlet or terminal with a capacity of up to 11 kW, as well as a DC fast charging station with a capacity of up to up to 50 kW.
In addition to plug-in hybrid engines, Volkswagen now also offers a new turbodiesel engine for the Passat. 2.0 TDI with a capacity of 122 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque: this is the entry-level version that already promises to be one of the most economical station wagons on the market in the family car segment.

The 9th generation Passat is only offered as a SW wagon and is still offered with four trim levels : “Passat” (initial version), “Life Plus”, “Elegance” and “R-Line”.
