The exhibition in New York is an opportunity for many manufacturers to present their new products. From Genesis, the premium division of Hyundai, we are unveiling a concept car Genesis Neolun : a large SUV that heralds the imminent arrival of a production model.

Futuristic high-class concept car

The name “Neolun” means “new moon” and is inspired “Iconic Korean Moon Shaped Porcelain Jars”. It is a showcase of the latest technological achievements of the firm and embodies a new stylistic direction of the brand. This materialized on the front and horizontal light signature with double horizontal borders extending to wings. This ethos goes even further than previous models and concepts featured on the Genesis, as this time the lower LED light bar is V-shaped to suggest the shape of the brand’s grilles.
We also find that dual light bar at the back, this time red. In general, the lines of the concept are particularly futuristic, sophisticated and significant, as evidenced by the absence of door handles or the very narrow shape of the mirrors. Its almost cubical forms in the rear part announce the huge living space inside.
Opposite-opening doors and the absence of a central counter reveal hospitality cabin on board for four peopleconsisting of four comfortable seats: two independent rear seats, as well as two front seats that can be turned to face the first.

Genesis Neolun: An Ode to Korean Hospitality

The interior, upholstered in purple leather in combination with blue cashmere, is particularly refined and emphasizes touch controls, as well as large screen infotainment system on the instrument panel. At the back, the flexible screen can also extend from the ceiling to complement the entertainment and work options. The floor is completely covered with real, dark-colored wood.
The Genesis Neolun concept emphasizes the culture of Korean hospitality and pays homage to the traditional heating method with its radiant heating system : Heating films are hidden behind the instrument panel, door panels, floor, seat backs and sides of the console to ensure even heating throughout the cabin. We also find on board a exciting audio systemwhich has the optimal arrangement of tweeters, mid-range speakers, woofers and subwoofers, just like in a concert hall.
If the Korean manufacturer doesn’t reveal more about its large luxury SUV concept, it’s a safe bet that this portends production version Genesis GV90 : like the Kia EV9, it should have 100% electric motors, as well as a more classic three-row seating configuration, allowing up to seven people on board.
