But what happened in the Kia-Hyundai group in recent years? With the advent of the electric car, the Korean group, known for its pragmatism, left. Both manufacturers have never had so many sports cars in their catalogs, apart from the powerful 650 hp Hyundai Ioniq 5 N, the 585 hp Kia EV6 GT, or even hot models like the i30 N and Kia Stinger V6.

Like Toyota with Lexus or Infiniti with Nissan, Hyundai also has its own premium brand called Genesis. These models are not yet sold in France, but we may see them in Germany or even in Switzerland, where the brand has been distributed for some time.

A simple redesigned Hyundai Ioniq 5?

On the occasion of the New York Auto Show, Genesis, which is also based in the United States, has just introduced a sports car with cars that are bright, to say the least. Last year at the same show, the manufacturer presented the G80 Magma Special concept, a limited-edition model for the Middle East. The label is now immortalized with a full coat of arms, such as Mercedes-AMG, Audi Sport or even BMW M. As standard-bearer, the manufacturer presents the GV60 Magma concept car.
Aesthetically, we recognize the GV60 at first glance, from which it takes its basis, even if the bodywork is noticeable, to say the least, as is the color, which echoes the name of this new sports emblem. Lowered and resting on 21-inch wheels, The GV60 Magma will be 100% electric and should be on the road soon.
Technically, it is neither more nor less than the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N the car is equipped with a battery with a capacity of 84 kWh and two electric motors developing 650 hp.. This model, however, should be a little less “extreme” than the turbulent Hyundai, no doubt with a few minor tricks, such as the monkeying sound of the four-cylinder engine or simulated gear changes.

A real range of sports cars in the future?

In the images below you can see a large coupe with a very sporty look. This is eSports Genesis Gran Turismo.

As for the appearance on our roads, even if the Kia-Hyundai group tends to give up at the moment, there is little chance that a supercar of this caliber will ever appear on our roads.
