After an unsuccessful maneuver, a 50-year-old woman found herself behind the wheel trapped by her Tesla, who is drowning in his ranch pond. Despite the fact that she tried to escape from the car, she called her friend for help on the phone to no avail. The incident report states that the rescue team arrived at the scene 24 minutes after the call, but the car was already completely submerged. Angela Chao, who was unconscious, could not be resuscitated. According to preliminary information, it was indeed a simple accident, but the investigation is still ongoing.

According to tests conducted by the American Automobile Association, the glass that the SUV is equipped with is virtually indestructible under water, which can cause serious problems, as it was in this case.
