Fuel continues to rise in price

This development followed an increase of 1.6 dollars a barrel of Brent, which reached $85.7 in the last few days. These fluctuations cause speculation about the introduction of a fuel surcharge. We will remind that after the statements of the president of the republic on TF1 and France 2 on September 24, the Ministry of Economy raised the issue of the possibility of compensation for employees. However, this payment was subject to one condition.
No fuel check yet
Indeed, the state confirmed that the price of fuel must reach the threshold limit, which was set at almost 2 euros per liter, as explained by the Minister of Economy, Bruno Le Maire, during an interview with BFM TV on December 14. . This compensation will be 100 euros per vehicle, i.e. a subsidyabout 20 cents per liter for six months for an average motorist. According to information available on the Bercy website, this will affect 60% of workers who depend on their vehicle for business travel. However, the office of Bruno Le Mer indicates that the implementation of this compensation is not on the agenda, given that the current fuel price is still far from the established threshold. Indeed, he emphasizes that “here we are far from 2 euros”. In the meantime, motorists can turn to Casino, which continues the “fuel at a price” action until the end of March. Good news for motorists!
This initiative, launched on February 8, affects a total of 17 supermarkets and 47 hypermarkets and saves a few cents.
