The patent-pending hinged lever reduces the weight of the charging cable by approximately 60%, allowing wheelchair users to hold the charger. A special support for the Combo-CCS connector facilitates access for wheelchair users, and the canopy prevents getting wet.

After disconnecting the cable, he automatically retracts to avoid an obstacle for users that could block the passage of wheelchairs, cause a risk of falling or even prevent the car from leaving. It also keeps the cable dry and clean without lying on the ground.

For this charging center, Audi used used batteries from electric vehicles, which make it possible to use the low-voltage connection available on site, without requiring a heavy additional electrical installation. About 1.05 MWh energy is available for all four charging points, allowing charge 60 cars without a break
