What are the problems for PHEV models from Stellantis

And as if that wasn’t enough, Stellantis has had to deal with other problems with its plug-in hybrid engines for several months. This applies in particular to Peugeot, Citroën, Opel, as well as DS, which has just started a recall campaign.
The latest recall, known under the reference JUQ, concerns charging cable troubleshooting. An approach that is consistent with actions taken by other brands in the group, including those mentioned above.
This recall campaign will affect DS 4 and DS 7 E-Tense vehicles manufactured between February 17 and May 4, 2023. In France, 806 owners of a compact sedan and 951 owners of an SUV will contact or have already contacted. from DS Automobiles. To identify the affected vehicles, the manufacturer notes that they have certain CE types starting with e22007/460628* for DS 4 and e22007/460601* for DS 7 followed by 22, 24 or 25 and 23, 24 or 25 respectively.

A malfunction that can cause big problems

The recall came after an ongoing problem was discovered involving a faulty sensor in the charging cable that could cause overheating. European authorities have warned about the risk of fire associated with this malfunction.

The necessary intervention at the dealership should be short-term, no more than 5-10 minutes of stopping the car.
