What does the future hold for Mobilize? Projects become clearer…

Rethinking everyday mobility

The fourth brand in the Renault group along with Dacia and Alpine, From 2021, Mobilize specializes in mobility in the broadest sense. Car sharing, short-term rentals, car sharing services will enable the French manufacturer to make the transition to the shared and shared mobility of tomorrow. The brand already offers additional services for buying or renting models from the group, such as financial services (Mobilize Financial Services, formerly RCI), charging solutions, as well as subscriptions to free-floating vehicles. This last mission is performed Zity, car sharing service created in collaboration with the Spanish company Ferrovial, which offers Renault Zoé and Dacia Spring for short-term rental in Madrid, Lyon and Milan (Zity just threw in the towel in Paris, due to too much damage). But unlike its main competitors Free2Move (Stellantis) and Kinto (Toyota), Mobilize also offers new models sold under their own brand and with their own logo. They are part of a global plan called Beyond Automotive that aims to double profit margins by 2027.

More payment and financing solutions

as? At the Geneva Motor Show, Mobilize unveiled its plan of attack… First announcement: the sale of the limousine in Europe has been cancelled. This four-door electric sedan, a rebadged Chinese EZoom Yi (Renault is partnered with Jiangling Motors), was to be offered on long-term lease to VTC drivers in several European cities. Unfortunately, Mayonnaise has caught on (somewhat) in Madrid thanks to a partnership with local operator Cabify, but not in Paris, where its rollout was eventually cancelled. On the other hand, the launch of the electric two-seater Duo (and its universal version Bento), which should replace the Renault Twizy to better compete with the Citroën Ami is in the program. Mobilize will also focus on top-up offers, particularly through surfing New Renault V2G technology (featured on the Renault 5 E-Tech) which allows unused electricity to be re-injected into the grid to reduce your bill. Finally, leasing will occupy an important place in the group’s strategybecause fewer and fewer customers are turning to cash purchases, especially in the context of the growth of electric vehicles.

Thus, there are many challenges to overcome in order to gradually support the Renault group in its search for more alternative mobility solutions. Goal: Mobilize to account for 20% of group revenues by 2030, up from barely 6% today…
