Succession
Aston Martin presents its latest masterpiece dedicated to GT racing : Vantage GT3. Coinciding with the unveiling of the new road-going Vantage, the GT3 embodies the union of unrivaled performance, sharp dynamics and muscular styling. This simultaneous launch underscores Aston Martin’s unwavering commitment to not only creating the ultimate sports car, but also demonstrating its prowess on the race track. The Vantage GT3 is positioned as the crown jewel of a new era in GT racing, competing in prestigious series such as the FIA World Endurance Championship, IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and Fanatec GT World Challenge. It replaced the Vantage GTE, which had an impressive track record 52 victories and 11 world championship titles from 2012 to 2023. The result of a collaboration between Aston Martin Racing (AMR) and Aston Martin Performance Technologies (AMPT), the Vantage GT3 is a complete evolution of the GTE and GT3 models withdrawn from the market in 2018. Its technical features, including redesigned aerodynamics and revised suspension, have been carefully designed to unlock its full performance potential in the hands of professional riders and enthusiasts.
Strict development program
The Vantage GT3 has undergone an extensive development programme, including a challenging 30-hour test, featuring professional drivers under contract to Aston Martin and selected amateur racers. The consensus is unequivocal: the new GT3 is an extremely fast, strong, wide-range machine that meets the demands of high-level GT racing. Visually, the Vantage GT3 combines the aesthetics of the new Vantage with extreme aerodynamics. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is widely used to optimize aerodynamic performance while complying with FIA downforce regulations. Aston Martin Racing has already established partnerships with such well-known teams as Heart of Racing, Walkenhorst Motorsport, ComToYou Racing and Flying Lizard Motorsports. More than 30 Vantage GT3s are expected to hit the tracks by the end of the 2024 season.
These teams will compete in prestigious events such as the 24 Hours of Daytona, the 24 Hours of Nürburgring, the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
